How To Use

How to Use Your Mitti Ki Handi

1. Before first use, gently wash the clay handi with clean water and let it dry completely.
2. For best results, soak the handi in clean water for about 20–30 minutes before cooking.
3. Add your ingredients and cook on low to medium heat.
4. Increase the heat gradually rather than placing a cold handi directly on high heat.
5. Use a heat diffuser or tawa underneath when cooking on a gas stove to reduce the risk of thermal shock.
6. Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as placing a hot handi on a cold or wet surface.
7. Allow the handi to cool naturally before washing it.
8. Clean gently with water and a soft sponge. Avoid harsh detergents and abrasive scrubbers.

Tip: Clay cookware heats gradually and retains heat well, making it ideal for biryani, curries, daal and slow cooking. Always handle the handi carefully when hot.
